I bought this newer tablet to replace an aging Tab that I was given as a gift around four or five years ago. Can’t remember how long for sure. But, it was slow at retrieving YouTube videos that I regularly watch while I eat my breakfast in the morning.
I researched the web and went to my local Best Buy twice and talked to a very nice gentleman there who was indeed an expert on tablets. He demonstrated his own that he uses personally. I knew I wanted the fastest and with a good amount of memory to hold the apps that I would download. I already had an extra 64gb SD card to load for storing pictures and whatever else I might want.
I was overjoyed to get it home and unpack and boot up and begin using it. I did purchase the keyboard/cover as I find it hard to type on screen for the most part as I am a two handed typist from taking two classes back in high school You never forget how to type as you use it so much every day.
The keyboard takes some getting used to and I am still getting used to it weeks later. I find when I go to hit the backspace key my little right hand finger is reaching too far up and I hit the wrong key and the screen moves on me and then I have to look and reorient myself to find that backspace key. Other than that, the keyboard is smaller than any other keyboard that I or you may use and you just have to remember to go a little slower when typing until you get used to it I suppose. I don’t use mine often enough but only to search keywords or videos on Amazon or whatnot.
All in all, I find this new Galaxy Tab S5e to fit my purpose for now. I am sure in years to come it will also become slower as the internet evolves with faster speeds and we all want everything instantaneously to come at us.
One thing that comes to mind here now is I haven’t installed any virus or malware protection. I strictly make it a point have eSet Security Suite and Malwarebytes installed on a two year subscription basis. I got bit once years ago and was not a believer in antivirus software but these days it is mandatory or you risk paying Bitcoin ransoms to the evil hackers in the wild.
If you have been sitting on the fence, just go ahead and do it. You won’t regret it. As for Apple or Android, Android is still the leader but if your friends have Apple you might want to go with that as they will be the ones to support you. Or, if you already have one or the other and your preference is set, well, you know what to do. Peace, Love and Respect to you!

This is a replacement for my Tab 10.1 tablet which never disappointed me. I am getting use to the feel of it and the speed is something. I like the facial recognition and fingerprint reader security. The setup of the tablet was easy . I look forward to having this one until I wear it out.

I am very happy with this Tablet. What I like the best is the size. My last Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 was 8 inches and since I do not see anymore that size, I got the 10.5 inches. To my surprise, it was not that much bigger and I like the size. Also this Tablet is very light. The Tab 2 was much heavier. The battery life is very good. The pictures are very clear and the camera takes excellent pictures. I definitely recommend this Tablet.

I just love it! Its user friendly and so much like my phone Samsung Note 9. No complaints from me. I have had it a month now and it’s just a great tablet.

Perfect size! Not to big, not to small. Love the resolution, speed, camera and 4 speakers for listening to media. It did come with an adapter for headphones. Holds charge a long time. I didn’t take it out of the box for a week because I was waiting for a case that I ordered. (Unicorn Beetle). I tend to drop things! Lol

I purchased the Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (8gb) a few years ago based on reviews. Honestly, it was a bit of a let down, mainly because it was slow and had little storage(even with 16gb sd card). The screen was OK, but nothing great.
I decided to use some Xmas money and B-day coupon to purchase the S5e. Huge upgrade from the Tab A. Much faster, 64gb storage, and a very nice (and bigger) screen. It’s also thin and has relatively small bezels, so screen looks even bigger. Battery life, so far, has been excellent. The only time I use it for extended time is streaming Netflix, Amazon video or Xfinity. I’d say it’ll use ~ 10% battery per hour (I never really paid attention to that though). In standby mode, it uses very little battery.
I got a free Samsung case, which as others have said, offers very little side protection, but it does protect the screen and back, and it’s a nice stand. I wouldn’t pay the ~ $70 for the case, but can’t pas up free.

Very slick and easy to use and get used to. The dex mode makes it easier for me to do my Microsoft office without a glitch just as it would appear on a computer.

This is the best tablet I’ve ever bought. It is super thin and the screen display is gorgeous. Very responsive and fast. Runs everything quickly with no lag. Definitely worth the price.

Always liked shopping at best buy a little disappointed that they do not carry all the products i need for the tablet at the store. I went on line and ordered the first set of shields they came in broken so i had to go back and order a second set which i’m still waiting for .where do i get credit for the broken ones it will cost me more to send them back for what there worth. I have purchased over five thousand dollars in products over the last several weeks. (careing customer)

Although I was mainly using my 5-year old Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 for watching videos, running some apps when I needed to was becoming painfully slow. I was ready for something a bit faster, a little bigger and with more built-in storage. This new Galaxy Tab S5e (64GB) is exactly what I was looking for!
The size is great! For a 10.5″ screen, having a thin bezel all around and no physical front home buttons, it is not a whole lot bigger than my old 8″ tablet. It quite a bit smaller than the (2016) Galaxy Tab A 10.1″ tablets that my kids have. And SO THIN!! It’s thinner than the 8″ and weighs about the same, if not a little bit lighter! (check out the pictures comparing the sizes)
This display is great, with the Super AMOLED screen and a resolution of 2560×1600. So far, the new OneUI that comes with the Android 9 (Pie) is quite a bit of an improvement over their previous UI (which is why I’ve never really liked Samsung phones, even though we love then many other Samsung items we own – from TVs to Appliances). Also, I like the “double-tap” to turn on the screen (similar to my LG phone, which I always seem to try on all screens), just wish it could turn the screen off the same way. My only nit-pick is that when scrolling to the next Home screen or application page, the “slide” when you barely swipe could be a little quicker, especially in Landscape (you can swipe fast to make it go faster, but it’s not what I prefer to be required to do). Also, one thing I wish that would work with it is an S-Pen (the kids’ Tab A tablets have them).
The thin on/off button is on the side and is also the fingerprint scanner. It is recessed a little bit to keep from hitting it accidentally. The scanner seems to be fairly responsive, even with its smaller size, so no issues so far. You can also set up facial recognition, but I won’t be using it.
Battery life has been extremely good so far. When on Standby, it may use about 5-10% a day. After a week of usage, with maybe 7 hours of video and 5 hours of streaming radio, I finally decided to charge it again, and it was only down to 25% left.
The cameras are OK, but I won’t really be using it for pictures. It has a 13MP rear camera and a 8MP front camera. The rear camera does have some of the different modes you see on most phone cameras, such as Panorama, Hyperlapse and Live focus, along with the Pro mode to manually changes some of the exposure settings.
Luckily, I mainly use bluetooth headphones when listening to music/videos as there is no longer a built-in 3.5mm headphone jack. But a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter is provided.
All in all, this is a great Android tablet with a nice, lighter-weight design!

Prepare to be stunned by a tablet display! The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e has a gorgeous Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2560×1600. The front of the tablet is almost all screen with very small bezels and the back is made out of a metal (aluminum I believe). The Snapdragon processor never left me wishing for more speed and the included microsd card is very nice to have alongside the built in 64GB of storage. There are four speakers two on each of the smaller sides of the tablet and they get surprisingly loud and are clear. The tablet is so thin and light I don’t think your hands would ever get tired from holding it. Samsung’s Android skin called “OneUi” is very slick and alongside their UI customization app Goodlock you can get the added benefit of multi-tasking free floating windows and other features that are unavailable on other Android tablets. There is an included fast charger that allows you to quickly charge your tablet or you can disable the fast charge in the tablet settings. Samsung really knocked it out of the park with this tablet it’s down right perfect.

Android tablets have come along way since my first tablet, the Motorola Xoom. This tablet feels very minimal and sleek. Currently running Android Pie I believe. Setting up seemed about same vs a phone.
The newest hardware has no buttons on the face, making it look like a giant S10+. The big draw for this tablet is smaller size and price. I’m glad I waited for the S5e over the S4. The spen is nice but not for an extra $100+
I’ve played music, movies and games on this tablet and has performed great. Also paired some BT devices like headphones, speakers and keyboards with no issues. Really like to multitask with this tablet: play some games on my PC while I stream a movie or music. Also bought an app called Pulse that sends texts from phone to my tablet.
The bad: as with tablets, always seems like Android software struggle with apps that only show a Black screen.

Love this Tablet, powerful enough I’ve never seen it bog down.. I can’t think of any other tab I checked out that had anything on this one. DeX, Android 9, Fingerprint Scanner. Yeah, get one 4 real.
