I use LG C1 65″ TV for everything. It is my main desktop monitor, cable TV, streaming and gaming monitor as well.
I cannot be happier with the resolution, color and contrast rendering. Before this I had an LED TV and there is a night and day difference in the blacks, far superior.
I still haven’t been able to get my hands on a PS5 or a 120hz console so I cannot testify about that part of the performance.
It required minimal calibration to bring some details out of the blacks and that was about it.
It is not crazy heavy but it is extremely odd to handle because of its size, so it is difficult for one person to set it up, definitely have someone help you, I did it on my own and it took some hours and tinkering to carry it and install it on my own. If you are not handy don’t risk the 3k+ money of the TV
The interface is good, responsive and not laggy. Have been using it daily for 4 to 8 hours for a month without any freezes or errors.
The LG channels are convenient since they are literally the same thing as cable tv, so you can actually cancel cable TV and save that money.
The only thing that annoys me to death is the remote… It feels like I bought a $50 dollar TV on discount. It is plasticky, slippery, and buttons click hard which makes is super loud. I hate the remote… I like the pointer function, so I use it. But that clicking sound and always feeling like it is slipping out of my hand is extremely annoying

This is my first OLED, and it is fantastic. Colors are vibrant, and the low input lag and game optimizer make it one of the top choices (if not the best) for next-generation gaming. HDR movies and other media also look stunning, and having Dolby Vision and Atmos support is a great bonus when supported.
Suppose you watch cable Tv or other lower-resolution content. In that case, the Tv does a good job upscaling the signal, given the limitations of the signal (in my case, the signal coming from a Direct TV receiver).
Lastly, the magic remote is excellent, in my opinion. I find it much faster to hoover over the keyboard and type in a search than using the traditional + buttons.

This TV is top of the line in my book,. The OLED picture is incomparable. The Smart TV features have been great to use.
The only downside I’ve run into is weak written documentation, both for setup and operation. The multi-language pictographs included for setup were incomprehensible. The online help wasn’t much better. The downloadable operator’s manual is better, but hard to find.

This is the life! So the upscaling from a DVD or Blu-ray disk is absolutely incredible, dvd looks like a blu ray content, a blu ray looks almost like a 4 k disk and a 4K disk looks real life! I had the CX OLED n the C1 is so much better, brighter, better upscaling. Check my YouTube channel for a review on content and I also have a video demonstrating an XBOX SERIES X, I love it and will never buy an LCD tv ever again, OLED FOR LIFE

The ultimate gaming TV, this television has it all. LG thought of everything on this one for the gamer in all of us. In recent update the television now plays games at 120 FPS and 120 Hz! It’s loaded with Nvidia‘s G-Gsync and Microsoft freesync technologies. It has Four E-ARC HDMI connections.
This OLED is too dog don’t settle for anything less, pick up the TV today in 55 inch, 65 inch, 72” and 83”
The price is unbeatable, do not settle for anything less!

We love our new 55 Class C1 Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS tv by LG, it’s got everything you need for viewing a beautiful picture and ease of operation is wonderful too!
LG has thought of everything! The scary part is, the tv is smarter than we are, it’s amazing!

Great tv and well worth the price. The new magic remote is much better than the previous years. My only problem with the tv is that I much prefered the old WebOS. Let me one still works fine desert you wanted to but the last ones just looked a little bit cleaner. Other than that the TVs got the best contrast and color range you’ll probably ever see. It also works amazing on my PS5.

This is my first OLED TV and I am really amazed at the picture quality, it looks beautiful. If you are looking for a great TV for your next gaming systems, I highly recommend this TV. I have nothing bad to say about this TV at all at this time and I have had this TV for about a month and I am really pleased with it.

Awesome OLED upgrade from a 55” C7P.
Picture is definitely upgrade and games run and look amazing. It’s a must have, especially for those who haven’t upgraded for years. This TV will be time proof for a while. I might not upgrade again until 8K OLEDs are available and more content is released at 8K.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this SPECTACULAR TV deserves one, and a pat on the back and pat on the back to LG. I bought the 65 inch version. They outdid themselves. I am a lifelong Samsung guy, and I am forever going to be a LG OLED purchaser from now on. Don’t even bother looking at anything else. This TV blows the competition out of the water. Crystal Clear, True Blacks, and stunning detail. You do have to tinker with the settings a little, but not much, to get the exact picture you want. It’s worth every penny! The only and I mean only downside is its heavy, with the stand its even heavier so you don’t want to move it around a lot, but that’s for a reason. Its super thin screen needs that support. I can’t believe I waited so long to go to OLED. You won’t be disappointed. I’m rewatching content that I’ve seen a million times and its like watching it for the first time. Gaming is unbelievable, especially on the new Xbox X and PS5. Great Job LG!! Don’t wait go buy one TODAY, you won’t be dissapointed!!

— very happy with purchase.
3 parts to review: Nice features/one hidden feature worth noting/one super minor complaint.
Disclaimer: I got 25 best buy points as a result of writing this review. I very rarely write reviews so this was an incentive, but I also happen to like this TV, and the salesperson at Best Buy was surprisingly knowledgeable and helpful! 🙂
HAPPY STUFF:
— super bright and very happy with custom settings for brightness (movie, daytime, etc) easily accessed by pressing the gear on the remote.
— got the SP8YA 3.1.2 ch Sound Bar and it has been a really incredible addition; never had a sound bar before and it makes any TV watching much, much more enriching. And voice pops to make it easier to hear spoken voice.
— looks great and has almost no bezel, looks beautiful.
— I prefer webOS versus my only other experience, Samsung TIZEN smart TV interface. {some people could care less about this…}
… I really like the LG remote with quick-shake to get mouse arrow on screen, and I like the webOS navigation versus Samsung TIZEN interface.
.. I got a samsung with TIZEN interface for my Dad recently and I have always been very fond of the samsung displays. But after using TIZEN, I just found Samsung’s interface to be annoying (how so? …google a review, RTINGS.com is awesome, but…
.. TIZEN just seems rather restrictive and ultimately the mouse arrow navigation on the LG remote was the biggest feature I really like, as well as settings seem a lot quicker and more intuitive to access on LG versus TIZEN.
— this LG (OLED) was a LOT more expensive than I was planning on spending but I figured the last TV I purchased was a Samsung 46″ HDTV 14 years ago. OLED seemed like a very good choice at this point.
HIDDEN FEATURE TIME:
— google this but.. very nice quick access to any app that you install by using the number pad on the remote (while in an app, press the ‘zero’ key on number bad [on remote] and menu with number pad opens on screen, select numbers 1 through 9 and you then can hold those numbers and quick-launch an app… so set ‘6’ for hulu and then when you power the TV on, press and hold 6 and it will launch Hulu. Very quick and saves time rather than navigating the webOS to find Hulu.)
MAIN COMPLAINT. { super trivial! }
— I wish the remote had “rewind/pause-play/forward” feature; using center wheel/button and outer ring left/right edges to play/pause/rewind/etc is… sort of clumsy. This is so trivial as a complaint but… it would be nice to have play/pause/rewind/especially 10-second rewind!

First I want to start off by saying I’m not paid to say any of this I’m not promoted to say any of this I’m just a regular customer. Now.. WOW.. all I can say about this TV is WOW.. this old LED C1 is truly magnificent I absolutely love the new WebOS.. The game modes pretty awesome even though I wish it had features that showed your FPS your input lag and stuff like a game bar. The picture is phenomenal and at least for me it is bright enough even in my well-lit living room. Colors are beyond beautiful detail is extraordinary really crazy good and it is very easy to set up and adjust. All 4 HDMI ports being 2.1 capable is what a TV should have.. the only thing I will say I do not like is the lack of certain apps like HBO Max an Others. I do not understand why neither company has pursued getting APPs Like that on the One of the best OLEDs. I got the 55″ but it’s going back for the 65″ C1. But Other then that.. this TV gets a 5 out of 5 for picture quality features ease-of-use and the operating system

This is my first OLED TV and after years of research I finally decided to replace my current 1080p 60inch Vizio with this. I already have a 55inch TCL 4K LED so I have already seen what 4k can do. My first issue before even receiving the TV was that the Best Buy salesperson would not let me take the TV home unless I used a large vehicle that could let the TV stand up. While I understand the caution, it made me wait an extra 2 weeks for delivery despite ordering same day instore pickup.
Upon receiving the TV finally and unboxing it, its apparently how fragile the TV could be, and assembly was very difficult due to the possibility of bending the very thin screen. I honestly would have liked a thicker TV or some reinforced backing built into the design because you can only lift the TV by the base which itself is very small.
Performance wise the TV looks great, but it took over a week of fine tuning to finally get the picture to look as good or better than my previous TV. The preset picture modes all look too washed out or dark. Native 4k content looks gorgeous but 1080p content the scaling isn’t quite perfect. I primarily use the TV for gaming with my PS5 and the game mode works as advertised and games running at 4k/60fps looks stunning. The HDMI CEC is annoying though since it will turn on your PS5 even if you don’t want it to.
I also watch a lot of streaming content, so Disney Plus and Amazon Prime looks amazing but Youtube for some reason only steams in 1080p even if 4k is available
My biggest issue with the TV is the sound. The system equalizer is pretty much useless. Regardless of the sound mode, everything has too much bass or reverb. I disabled surround but that only helped a little. If you are using headphones (which I prefer), there is no sound adjustment at all. A lot of reviews I read praised the sound output but for me its just a muddy mess most of the time.
My TV shipped with a pretty noticeable defect. In the middle of the panel was a light gray area about the size of a tennis ball. which was not noticeable when the TV was on. I thought maybe the TV was damaged during shipping, but after a couple weeks it cleared itself up. I came very close to returning the TV.
The remote is also terrible. The Wii-mote like pointer is so slippery and misses most of the time. Maybe I have a defective unit, but when ever I press the confirm button it half the times tries to activate voice commands which is the button above it.
Overall a good TV but with some issues. For the price I expected more and was not blown away. I would give this TV 5 stars would it not be for the sound and remote issues. Buy this TV if you are a gamer as it pairs lovely with a PS5.

With each pixel diode emitting its own level of luminance color & contrast are more accurate than would be on any QLED model of any brand.
The LG C1 is also capable of 120Hz Dolby Vision, and in addition its HDMI eARC port is 40Gbps, which does a much finer and efficient job at passing through Dolby MAT 2.0 & MAT metadata, so my VIZIO Elevate coupled w/ this tv sounds much crisper than it did paired w/ my old VIZIO P65Q9-H1. The Game Optimizer menu on firmware v3.15.27 adds a level of customization to gameplay, and it seems to “just work.”
First time LG tv owner, first time OLED owner, and very satisfied with the purchase. Comes at a high price, but worth it if you stream a lot of movies/shows, and if you use a console such as a PS5 or Series X|S. Some minor bugs when the tv switches from Dolby Vision to SDR that causes soundbar to lose audio, but a quick fix is to disable eARC, and reenable it via Audio Settings.
The OLED tech also suffers from vertical banding, but can be reigned in by using the Pixel Cleaner. It’s only noticeable on calibration screens (all grey/all white), but never is noticeable when watching content or gaming.

Have had a C8 and have a C9. This TV looks identical but definitely an upgrade. If you’re a gamer, it’s the best OLED, in my opinion. Brightness and color, eh, it seems very close to my C9, maybe a tad better. I do like the new LG OS though, and again, the game optimizer settings are awesome!
If you have a C9 or CX, I’d not upgrade unless you need the latest and greatest or want the extra game settings, but for new buyers to OLED, this is a great tv for the value, especially over Sony if you’re a gamer, hands down!
As far as brightness goes, it gets plenty light for what I need, but if you want something vivid and pushing the high hundreds/close to 1000 inits range, wait and get the G1, but again, I think the C1 is plenty bright for majority of the places you’ll use it. Curtains/blinds anyone?

I was able to upgrade from an LG 75″ 4K UHD smart tv to the wonderful world of OLED. I have been watching content on an 50″ plasma for many years then it died. I went out bought a normal 4K smart tv and I was really liking it but, it was missing the colors etc that an plasma had. I pulled the trigger on the this tv OLED no “buyers remorse ” at all just do this. Yes, watching tv is a whole new level as anyone who has an OLED panel. I enjoy watching movies, shows and gaming etc who doesn’t on a big screen. Sure it’s last year model but this rocks and the price was great. I hope I future proof our tv for the next few years for now because you can really customize it to your enjoyment still finding settings for our situation. Bright room plenty of light watch tv during the night, movies, game it has a great package for everyone to enjoy. The panel is so thin wow just set it on your wall and forget about moving it.Burn in yes it’s an thing but I am not worried about it a few setting on it will prevent you from burn in built in. (Geek Squad Protection) if you need it I opted out
I have it set up to a simple home theater nothing crazy for our family room which works for us. No sound bar here old school two sub woofers!!
Cable cutter here too plenty to watch over streaming apps etc 4K content you will need a bowl of popcorn!!

This is my second LG OLED, I purchased last year’s 65″ C9, and needed a larger TV. When wanting a larger OLED, there only 2 choices, LG or Sony in the 77″ OLED size. After much research and deliberation, I chose to go with what I knew.
This year’s LG CX is basically the same as the C9, except with a little more bells and whistles. There were a couple of additional picture modes, as well as a new a9 Gen 3 processor to boost picture performance and Nvidia G-Sync.
The main determining factors between the LG and Sony was the LG is a little brighter, plus the LG supports HDMI 2.1 .
Do yourself a favor, spend the little extra money and get the full articulating mount, it’ll make it so much easier when mounting a TV of this size.

I must say after months of research on this tv i finally pulled the trigger and bought it in the end of may. And it’s just a beautiful tv. I wanted something that has all the new features like hdmi 2.1, 120 hz, Dolby vision and hdr10. This tv has amazing blacks and just a unbelievable picture. Has game mode for fps games like call of duty and helps with the input lag. You will definitely have to adjust settings for best picture or even have geek squad come and have it calibrated for you. But this tv and the ps5 is a dream come true. If you have a man cave and want the best tv don’t hesitate. Highly recommend. And please get the geek squad warranty because lg oleds have a history of burn in. Wouldn’t risk it when spending this much for a tv. And this review is for the 77 inch cx. Enjoy.

I really have enjoyed the tv. It looks great. I had a bad experience when I purchased the tv though. I had to go though the purchasing process 4 times before we actually completed the purchase. They were not going to deliver it same day even though I would be an Elite Plus Member. In the process of all these purchases I lost my delivery date and ended up with a much later date. The staff was nice even though I had to go and grab someone to help me. It was a bad buying experience but I do love the tv.

Absolutely beautiful, stunning picture! Love all the features it has, especially the LG exclusive channels! There’s still a lot to learn about this tv, but my husband is really enjoying learning all about it. And I don’t even have to wear my contacts to see the picture on the huge 77” screen! Can’t wait for football season!!! And Best Buy honored their price match guarantee, so we’re extra happy! We do recommend purchasing an LG sound bar to make the viewing experience over the top!
