I just received my MacBook Air about an hour ago and got it all set up and this thing runs smooth! Not quite as smooth as my Ryzen 3600 gaming desktop, but I didn’t buy it to use in that way! For the basic tasks so far this thing performs great! Keyboard and trackpad are awesome and first time on a Mac is super smooth so far very happy camper! Don’t listen to the youtubers who say the base underperforms cause I haven’t seen anything but smooth smooth smoothness!

I purchased the base model..Honestly the base specs are more than enough for me…at least for what I’ll need this for. Definitely is a huge upgrade from my Lenovo laptop. I picked it up last week from the Bulkra. in Vernon Hills, curbside pick up was a breeze – very happy with my purchase:

My first Macbook! I’m so excited. It’s super lightweight. I love the simplicity of the design. Great for light duty stuff like browsing the web, Photoshop and etc. I suppose this is the budget friendly Mac.

Gave 4 because when I first picked it up after 2 days it’s wasn’t working correctly & sounded like it was overheating. That was an inconvenience due to I needed it for Telework from home. The one is doing great. I love how slim, light & the color.

First of all, this laptop is GORGEOUS. I was nervous at first with it being really small since I have a 16 inch PC but honestly it’s the perfect size. Set up was easy, getting used to it will take a fews days though. Everything works perfect, I didn’t notice it heats up really fast though.. not sure if that’s a good thing or bad but I’ll keep checking on it. Definitely recommend!

I spent a lot of time researching this, coming from a 12 inch MacBook. Based on the reviews, almost all of which recommended upgrading at least the processor to the i5 or higher, I was very concerned about the performance on this computer. I am now convinced that an upgrade would have been wasted on me.
I run basic word processing, movies, music, etc, and constantly have many windows and many programs running simultaneously. I often run an external monitor and flip back and forth between them. I do not use photoshop or the like, but I do use the photo app frequently. Nothing I have done (even trying) has managed to tax the processor, or even kick on the fan.
I would say, if you have to ask, you probably don’t need anything above the base. Those who need more power know who they are. “Normal” day-to-day computing tasks will be handled with ease.

I switched to this MacBook Air from a surface laptop. This computer is so much better because the keyboard isn’t made from cloth for one, further the keys feel amazing when typing on. The trackpad on this MacBook is the best I’ve ever touched because it’s a lot smoother and responsive than any laptop I touched before. Also if you click down it’s a lot quieter than most laptops. The operating system is very efficient since you can text off it, FaceTime, and take phone calls. If you are a student or someone looking to complete online work then this computer will be perfect for you. Also the screen quality on this MacBook is exquisite.

I have been wanting a MacBook for years. I finally bought one. I love it and will never go back to windows. Each thing you open, opens smoothly and fast. I have had no issues. The color is beautiful and the Touch ID is so handy.

My wife and I purchased two of these New 2020 MacBook Airs. She was upgrading from a 8 year old MacBook Pro and I was upgrading from a 2018 MacBook Air. So I’ll be comparing both the 2018 and 2020 Air. Having both models I had the opportunity to compare the two. I’ll start with the keyboard which is 100 times better now. The 2018 Air felt cheap and hollow unlike the 2020 Air. Style and look both models look the same and have little to none in difference.Display on the 2020 looks way more crisp and slightly brighter. Also sounds a bit louder then the 2018 Air but nothing to jaw opening. Performance is where I found its true strong point. Again comparing the 2018 Air model. Right out of the box from booting up to transferring my date from an external hard drive it performed very well and fast. I had the chance to test both side by side and the 2020 Air surprised me on every task I threw at it. Like other reviewers have mention about overheating when performing strainous task I have yet to experience this. I do believe if you’re using this computer hard then this is the wrong model to have. This is why Apple makes the MacBook Pro model which can perform tougher task or handle hard core gaming. The 2020 Air wasn’t designed for this even having the quad core processor. I do play games like Fortnight and it performs great. Fans do turn on but this is normal especially for gaming. Temperature have never reached to anything dangerous. Overall it’s a solid computer and I’m glad I upgraded. You might ask why upgrade from the 2018 Air. At the time my daughter wanted to buy a MacBook but not spend the Apple price tag so I worked a deal with her and 512GB was more suitable for me being the 2018 Air was 256GB. And Last the new 2020 Air is slightly larger especially the bottom half (keyboard area) so all of my 2018 Air cases did not fit well. Some did fit but very tight or not at all. Hope this Help!

I’m a freshman in college and needed a reliable computer to do work on. This one is great and easy to function. I like how it’s synced with my phone and I can manage my mail or text message turn my MacBook with simple apps. Also it’s light and slim, not like those big bulky ones that are hard to carry around. It comes with so many features and overall I love my MacBook.

So far so good. I bought this laptop two weeks before school started for me online. Learned a lot about the laptop before school started and got all my programs installed that I need for school without any issues. Hoping it’s great to me for the next four years.

I made the jump finally to a Mac and I can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner. This Macbook Air is a great machine for an ultra portable laptop. Even thought it is an ultra portable laptop it doesn’t feel cheap or slow or like it is holding back anything from a performance standpoint. The Mac OS is better than I expected and the fit and finish of this laptop is the best I have ever used. I have been using exclusively Dell and Lenovo brand laptops for many years and I now realize I have been missing out on this addition of the Apple ecosystem for too long.

At first I wasn’t too sure about buying one because of the price and I wanted to get an HP instead. But I decided to get it anyway over an HP. I am glad I did! its light weight fast and very nice looking and does everything u want in a laptop computer. Its budget friendly for an apple product u get what u pay for. Good for college and school students and anyone who needs a good laptop for work or web surfing. Highly recommend it!

I’m in love! I have several apple products from my phone to my Apple TV. This is my first MacBook Air! I’ve always been a MacBook Pro type of girl but honestly I don’t miss the CD drive and the ports. I love the compact and rose gold color!

This is our first Apple laptop after using a Surface for many years. We got it specifically to use with our Apple phones which are new to us, also. I am a bit older in life and not as savvy as many people. After working hard with the Air it is coming pretty easily. It is very easy to use with our phones. The only complaint I have is that it seems to be more difficult working with multiples of pictures or downloads, etc. It seems to take another step that I’m not used to. Overall, however, it’s pretty great. We would buy it again in an instant. Purchase the protective cover.

Everything works great. This might be the best Mac that I’ve had. It came right on time and I’ve not had any problems with it.
